More About Us

At the easternmost tip of the island is the area known as Kapoho. The real town of Kapoho was covered by lava in the 1960s, but the subdivisions still bear its name.

Kapoho Vacationland has fantastic snorkeling and easy ocean access. Half of the reef area is now a protected conservation district (no fishing, no taking of fish, etc) to help protect it as its an important "fish nursery". The lots are small in this area, and the presence of numerous natural tide pools can make building here a challenge. Many of the existing homes in the area take advantage of the tide pools to incorporate beautiful water features onto their property. Its a great place for people who want quick, easy access to the ocean. Associated with Kapoho Vacationland is Kapoho Farm Lots which has mostly 5 acre parcels. Vacationland is moving toward becoming a gated community (but they will always allow pedestrians wanting to snorkel to have access).

Kapoho Beachlots is already a gated community and shares a lot of the features of Vacationland. Some of the homes in Beachlots are truly phenomenal and are directly oceanfront. They nearly all have great ocean views. Its a lovely (and expensive) area.

And then there's Wa'a Wa'a. Along the road connecting Kapoho to the oceanfront part of Hawaiian Beaches and Shores, there's a remote little part of the island with no utilities, bad roads and a charm that captures your heart and won't let go. Giant old-growth trees dominate the area and the "mana" (Hawaiian spiritual force) is almost overwhelming. The places where you can see through to the ocean is stunning, the jungle is inspiring, and I'm sure you can tell that I'm totally in love with this area.
